Tote AND Barrel Pick-up System
- Today
- We’re going to combine the stacker with the wheeled grabbing system
- Stack in front of the robot in a (really big — cf. David’s hand gesture) magazine
- “Lock-pick” lifter design from Ri3D
- Combine with extendable arm to reach around and grab/throw containers out of the way during autonomous (key thought: knock containers into Auto area!)
- Do we want a magazine of totes in the robot or just stack in front of us?
- Ri3D stacks aren’t always aligned (but we could have a stack straightener-upper stick or something)
- Ri3D backs-and-forths a lot to build stack… but uses the grabber arms to align with bottom box to build stack
- How do we put down the stack once it’s in the magazine?
- Holding the totes out in front of the robot requires a lot of careful center of mass calculations

- Mr. Roche leads a team to work on the wheeled grabber
