Notes
- Bumper (Baum)
- The blue bumper has been delivered by Katrina and is delightful
- Polycarbonate spacers have been installed in the blue bumper (and it rests on the bolts beautifully)
- El Toro (Roche, English, Alipour)
- Having mounted the twirlers over the weekend…
- Hooked them up temporarily to the mecanum talons to run them (working well, per Eacho and Wells)
- Slowest fluid movement came at 30% CIM power (nothing slower)
- Cut weight off of the mounts and re-mounting
- Finding a space for the window motor with the pitman arm
- Setting up the mount for the window motor (have worked out a location using Klem’s space allocation model)
- Mounted off of the wheel (so the roll bar can go wherever)
- Modularity!
- POST SCRUM CONVERSATION
- It would be simpler to run a belt and pulley to the El Toro shaft (simpler to build — we’ve done it before)
- Wiring (Wu)
- Wiring diagram is posted to the repo (called Official Code…)
- Encoders on all of the wheels
- Catapult Roll Bar (Klem)
- Roll bar is both the pivot for the catapult…
- …but also the support for all of the other high-force elements (springs, winch, etc.)
- Lots of progress in CAD figuring out space claims and catapult geometry
- Will have to bend a new catapult
- Waiting for the gearboxes (the part we need was shipped on Friday)
- Making spacers/mounts for the roll bar (Eacho)
- Software (Wu)
- Can now wire up encoders and start coding autonomous with one robot in the new bookstore
- Also: vision!
- Grey Colloquium (Brown, Cynthia)
- 2x 45 minute presentations (to FIRST bigwigs and others)
- Cynthia is working on ideas for how/what to present
- All hands on deck for presentation! (Probably in two teams)
- Practice Arena (Liu)
- Vision targets are mounted in the book store
- Sourced indoor-outdoor carpet for gym floors
- Researched driver stations
- CAD (Niles)
- Detailed drive train is finished
- Detailed El Toro is in process
- Woodie Flowers Essay (Ryan Lee)
- Should be finished by tomorrow
- Schwag (Eacho et al)
- Have a T-shirt design… that looks awesome! Covered by the team…
- Shopping warm-ups — looking at Jackets (Boat House — a la Girls XC)
- Mrs. Umiker is getting a Under Armour/Nike quote for jackets
- Working out jacket pricing
- Competition (Brown)
- YOU HAVE TO REGISTER
- YOUR PARENTS HAVE TO DO THEIR THING TOO! — remind them!
- Ms. Ciampa has sent out some forms to parents
- Shopping List
- More mounting plates from AndyMark (lots) am-2230
- 3/8″ hubs (lots)
- Limit switches (Battis will pick up Wednesday morning, or sooner)
- Ratchet (Battis will pick up Wednesday morning, or sooner)
Priorities
Must
These will happen no matter what
- Drive
- Herd
- Score >= 6 pts
- Bumpers
- Do this first week, while prototypers prototype
- Documentation
|
Should
Prioritize, try to get to as many as possible
- Maneuverable (drive train and practice)
- Mecanum wheels
- Hold (hardware) a. with potential to shoot if that system comes online b. Loading (hardware) — might not even need this
- Shoot 8’ (hardware)
- Some aiming (software)
- Second robot for driving practice/thinkin’
|
If Time Permits
Reach goals
- Catch
- Differential power settings
- Vision system
- Modular goalie arm (sub 30 lb, replace shooter at competition)
|
Housekeeping
- Clean up after yourself
- Help teammates clean up after themselves
- We don’t leave until we scrum… we don’t scrum until the shop is clear
- Half-finished projects go on shelves, not the floor
- Scrap is only useful if it’s stock, stock is only useful if it’s organized
